In a public addressing, IT Minister KT Rama said that 350 acres of land between Budwel and Kismatpur has been identified to make Rajendranagar the next IT Hub in Hyderabad Region. The new cluster will come up with 28 companies. A logistics park would also be created in Rajendranagar since there is a lot traffic between Bengaluru Region and Shamshabad.

There was a major restraint  on land in places like Madhapur, Kondapur and Gopannapalli. Hence, Rajendranagar will become home for the next IT cluster. In a few years, Rajendranagar will become the next Serilingampally with that setup. Also, 1.2 lac people will get employment once the entire place is used for setting up the IT Companies.

It was mainly due to the efforts of then CM Chandrababu Naidu that made Hyderabad a major IT hub. He played a crucial role in attracting IT giants like Microsoft, IBM, Google to set up their units in Hyderabad. Several Telugu speaking entrepreneurs from US also started their business here, the government provided them with land, power and water. Also, the area has a favorable climate and easy housing which makes living easy.
